Warum der Hund das Fleisch durch den Fluss trägt

A conciliation course for everyone from 10 years of age by Sebastian Mauksch & Team

The military dog Clausewitz wants to learn peace. In the depth of the forest he meets the mythical animals. The animals are at odds, as always. Never two are of one opinion. Too bad, Clausewitz thinks, you probably can’t teach me peace. – Oh Clausi! Don’t you know the rules of peace? Arguing, yes, we like that! But showing teeth, claws or spikes? Not the quarrel is the problem, but how we deal with it! Over hill and dale we go into the undergrowth.

Together with the dog, the viewers roam the mythical animal forest. In the process, they get into tricky situations. Mouse courage, squirrel humor and peace techniques are called for. Together with the animals, they try out the toolbox of conflict management. In dealing with the spoken word, with sound and song, with choreography and body language, with video clips and pictures, with camouflage and transformation, they gather their own experiences and also take something home with them.

Sebastian Mauksch & Team stage participatory theater for young audiences and explore the art of adolescence. With Ballhaus Ost, they created »Fennymore oder wie man Dackel im Salzmantel macht« (invitations to Augenblick Mal! and Wildwechsel 2021) and »Junge Leute« (nomination longlist Wildwechsel 2023).
