STAGE-CARE – Wer erzählt uns keine Geschichte und warum?

Pro Quote Bühne

Care work is part of life. Nevertheless, it receives little appreciation in our society. In the feminist movement, dealing with care work has always played a crucial role. Queer feminism developed the expanded concept of care work, which includes caring for sick partners, friends and parents. For some years now, the discourse has also included the aspect of self-care, which is radical in the cultural sector, as artists have always tended towards self-exploitation.

In her keynote speech, Feline Tecklenburg will present her own economic and social model, which is centered on care work. Afterwards, we want to hear from representatives from the field: how do you experience the theater business? How do you manage the balancing act between work in the theater and care work? How do you as theater directors think about care work? Is self-care possible in the cultural sector?

The discussion promises not only deep insights into the challenges of the theater, but also into possible solutions for integrating care work into the cultural sector in the long term. An opportunity to bridge the gap between theory and practice and to enter into a dialog about the future of care work in the cultural sector.

The event will be streamed live on the Pro Quote Bühne Eventbrite channel and will be offered both live and online in German sign language.
