The Dan Daw Show

Dan Daw

As part of NO LIMITS – Disability & Performing Arts Festival 2022

After spending his entire life inspiring others, Dan Daw is finally taking the opportunity to inspire himself. In doing so, he confronts the chaos that encompasses everything and that defines him. He lets go of who he once was and makes room for who he wants to be. Dan reclaims his power by letting performer Christoph Owen rule him on his own terms. Nominated for the 2021 National Dance Awards, »The Dan Daw Show,« directed by Mark Maughan, provides a glimpse into the brilliant and sweaty turmoil of living simultaneously with shame and pride. The intimate performance powerfully negotiates issues of sexual autonomy, caring and resilience, and the attempt to let go and reclaim oneself.

Pre-Admission / Pre-Show Access: 7 pm or one hour before show.

The DAN DAW Show is based on the fundamental principles of access, care and consent. The principles apply not only to the content of the show, but also to the interaction within the team and with the audience. Therefore, we offer pre-show access for people for whom early admission and/or exploration of the hall would be helpful. Our team (in signal colors) is there to facilitate access to information about the show and to allow exploration of the space individually based on your needs. Let our team know if any of this might be useful to you!

An explanatory video and more information about the show can be found here: https://dandawcreative.com/productions/the-dan-daw-show/
