How does hearing, listening, change us? In what ways do the sounds we hear change us and our bodies? The performance is based on the development of a series of listening strategies in which a group of performers attune to a particular space and move in response. In the process of live research, this is expanded into a deeper relational perspective in which the performers also listen inward and to each other. During the four-hour performance, the performers learn from what they hear and from each other’s movements to find other ways of moving. The result is a slow, meditative mutation process in which the body opens up to its environment and itself, engaging the audience in a highly sensitive mode of slow attention.
Labor Sonor – the series for experimental music, film and performance – presents the spectrum of current experimental forms beyond genre-specific determinability – from real-time music to electronics, performance, audiovisual formats, conceptual music, new composed music and experimental pop.
