A performative campfire installation for ages 10+
It crackles and smokes. It flares up and it smells. Stories are told, suspicions raised, and tales spun. Together, we light an artistic campfire and cook up a rumour soup: more wood is added to the fire, bread is toasted on sticks, and stories make the rounds — small observations or claims. Some change along the way, while others stick. Amid smoke, sounds, and flickering light, a collective rumour emerges, sentence by sentence, scent by scent. We love passing things on! But a judgment can form quickly. How fast can a rumour become something that can no longer be taken back? A game around the fire about social dynamics, hearsay, exclusion, and community.
