Bootcamp für Künstler*innen – Freie Szene trifft Politik!

FAIRSTAGE

3 hours
3. floor

What is the best way to explain to politicians what the independent scene does and how Berlin benefits from it? This is where you come in, locally in the constituencies: Under the motto “Independent scene meets politics,” FAIRSTAGE invites actors in the independent performing arts to meet their candidates for the House of Representatives in the coming months.

We will prepare each other and ourselves with external support in a “boot camp” to come up with convincing arguments for the discussions. In three compact hours, we will learn how to pitch our own work to politicians, venture into live conversation simulations, and look together at which representatives belong to your respective constituencies. No prior knowledge is necessary.

FAIRSTAGE offers continuing education courses for theater professionals in collaboration with various partners. On the one hand, the project proactively supports cross-theater institutions in their organizational development, and on the other hand, it offers open courses for the industry.

Registration: Please register with the subject line “Bootcamp” by January 26, 2026, at anmeldung@fairstage.berlin.

With Eva-Maria Baumeister, Nina Weber, Jens Eike Krüger, Nicola Schubert, Robert Oschatz

The FAIRSTAGE model project is a joint initiative of Diversity Arts Culture, ensemble-netzwerk, and LAFT Berlin, funded by the Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion.
